The Listen-See-Tell approach to storytelling explains and gives focus to basic concepts of active listening and natural oral and written expression. Storytelling is a natural activity, performed - at least informally - by almost everyone, nearly every day. This residency offers a way of looking at the storytelling process that makes it natural and easy. Storytelling is seen as an extension of conversation, and is made up of the simple activities of listening, seeing (imagining), and talking (telling). Students will gain storytelling skills that will leave them motivated to read...and read with purpose!
