Tony Tsendeas' residencies focus on developing and strengthening fundamental skills of the actor's craft. Imagination and concentration are emphasized and explored as two of the most important of these fundamentals.
Residencies can include workshops on:
Theater games: Using games as 'experiential' learning to practice basic acting skills.
An intro to the Stanislavski System: The Russian actor/director and teacher was essentially the first acting teacher in the Western tradition of Acting. Classes will explore "Sense Memory" and "Scene Analysis," two of the primary components
of The Stanislavski System.
Beginning Scene Study: Using Stanislavskian Scene Analysis to explore characters and their interaction in scenes through improvisation and working with text.
